From Stone Mountain, Georgia we traveled northwest to Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, Georgia. The "interesting" (that is, rather intense) drive up and down mountain roads and around switchbacks was topped off by an exciting back-in to a site that my wife was sure would drop our RV down a gully (see image below). However, we successfully avoided that catastrophe and were ready to begin exploration of our first Georgia state park.
Our first full day was spent driving around the canyon's eastern rim and looking at the campground. Here are a couple of photos from the east rim (use the left / right arrows to scroll through the 3 photos):
