First Blog Post

Having recently begun our post-retirement travels, I created this blog to help me record and share our progress traveling across the U.S. By way of intro, at the end of July 2021 we purchased our RV (a 2021 Jayco North Point 310RLTS) and had it towed to Pine Gardens RV Park in Tool, Texas ( www.pinegardensrvpark.com ) while I searched for an appropriate truck for towing it. After an anxious time searching (due to the 2021 chip shortage), I located and purchased a 2021 Ford F-350 diesel engine dually (affectionately named "The Beast" by my wife}. 

Several months passed while I had a fifth wheel hitch installed, had the Ford dealer install the backup assist connection and wiring harness, and waited for the slide-out awnings to arrive at the RV dealer for installation.
